During my career I have been through the interview process many times and have experienced success and failure. Yes that’s right “failure” meaning I know what it feels like not to get hired. I have learned from my mistakes and developed a very strong skill set when it comes to the interviewing process.

On this site you will learn how to land your dream sales job. The secrets I will reveal are a collection of ideas shared with me from top recruiters, sales managers, regional managers, high performing peers, and my most influential business mentor, my father. Without the mentoring of my father I would not have built this website as my life inevitably would have taken a different course.

My father’s transition into a sales career was abrupt and not necessarily by choice. He had a successful career in the Aerospace industry. It was a good job and he seemed to enjoy his work. But not unlike so many others in our new economy he was unexpectedly laid off. There is never a good time to loose a job but being laid off right during a recession made his situation complex.

He needed to find a job and started interviewing for outside sales opportunities as this had been an area of interest for him. He found it difficult to find work. He came really close several times however always seemed to be the runner up.

Being a man of perseverance he committed himself to become a student of the job hunting process. During this journey of self education he learned some invaluable lessons and eventually ended up getting an outside sales position. My father has told me on many occasions that had someone been there to teach him about interviewing and job hunting his career would have been much different.

He needed a mentor and did not have anyone in his life to fill those shoes. He had to learn things the hard way by trial and error. I remember seeing the look of frustration on my father’s face as he was told he did not get a job. It really made me upset as I knew how talented he was and any employer would have been lucky to have him working for them.

I am indebted to my parents for many reasons and certainly the career I have today is the result of the coaching I received from my father. My father’s challenges and missed opportunities served as a springboard to my success. My father became the teacher and I was his young protégé. I became the lucky recipient of a tremendous amount of knowledge he had obtained about interviewing and job hunting.

I’m sure you would agree that to be successful in business it is important to have good mentors. I have coached and helped many individuals get hired into life altering top tier sales positions. I have found this to be tremendously rewarding as there is something great about paying it forward. I would like to be that mentor for you!
